Au2mate acquires majority stake in German automation & digital solutions company ZewaTec Automation GmbH
Au2mate is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement to acquire a majority stake in ZewaTec Automation GmbH. The agreement was concluded in Hamburg on 15 January, and the formal transfer of 60% of the shares will take place on 28 February 2026.
As part of the transaction, Au2mate and ZewaTec have agreed that the remaining shares will be transferred in mid‑2028. Following this, the two companies will be legally merged with Au2mate in Lübeck.
Founded in 2011 by René Ries and Michael Rattmann, ZewaTec Automation GmbH employs 12 highly skilled engineers and has demonstrated stable and successful growth. The company serves several major German customers across complex process industries and has built a strong reputation for technical excellence.
ZewaTec has extensive experience with AVEVA technologies and is particularly strong within batch systems and MES integration with ERP platforms. In recent years, the company has also expanded its capabilities by working with Ignition Software and has already delivered its first projects on this platform.
The combination of ZewaTec’s deep technical expertise and Au2mate’s global automation competencies will create significant value for both companies. Together, we will strengthen our position in the German market and offer an even broader range of automation & digital solutions to customers across the process industries.
