Target group
The course is targeting production staff/operators who operate Arla dairy plants via the Arla Foods standard OAS1 operator interface (Aveva/Wonderware SCADA system).
Prerequisites
Basic understanding of dairy processes/dairy plants.
Course content
Hands-on operator training in the operator interface part of the Arla Foods – Automation standard OAS1 (based on InTouch for system platform from Aveva/Wonderware).
The course will cover topics such as:
• General introduction to the operator interface part of the Arla Foods – Automation standard OAS1
• Introduction to general functions/information in the top bar (login/logout etc.)
• Menu system/how to navigate
• General use of colours/icons
• Use/function of the different picture types (daily operation/PI-diagrams/set points etc.)
• Practical examples of process control operation (start/stop/pause/restart)
• PI-diagram elements (pumps, valves etc.)
• Manual operation of plant items
• How to adjust process setpoints
• Alarm system – how to find & filter alarms
• How to use trending of process values
• Fault finding training sessions at live Au2mate Academy process plant (Silkeborg, Denmark)
Objectives
Upon completion of this course the attendant will be able to:
• Use all included features in the Arla Foods Automation standard OAS1 operator interface for
optimal operation/control and adjustment of dairy processes
• Use the included alarm system for quick identification of faults to minimise downtime
• Use the included trending tool for plant monitoring & fault finding
