Target group
The course is targeting operators and personnel who work in a dairy plant and who need to get familiar with how to operate the control system in a dairy plant.
This course is usually held for groups from same site / company.
Course content
The course will use Au2mate Academy pilot plant as example for the training and covers topics such as:
- Introduction to the international S88 standard
- Understand how to read a PI diagram
Theoretical training in how to read PI diagrams (part of the physical plant)
Physical introduction to the process sections in Academy in relation to the PI diagram
- Control system structure
Architectural drawing
Interfaces
- Program description, control of a tank
Process cell structure
Unit description (Blocking, State transition, Alarms, Set points, Matrix – valve activating etc.)
- How to operate the control system
HMI structure (start, stop, pause, restart)
General operation of the system
Alarms and events including operator event searches
Trends
CIP pulsing and optimizing
- Fault finding
Component faults
Operator faults
Alarms and messages
Includes exercises in Academy pilot plant
Objectives
Upon completion of this course the attendant will:
• Have knowledge about the S88 standard and PI diagram
• Understand a program description
• Understand a control system structure
• Understand how to operate a control system and have knowledge about its functions
• Have knowledge about fault finding
Prerequisites
We recommend that course no. 17 has been completed.
