Target group
This course is targeting OT managers, production managers and technicians who require a basic overview of OT cybersecurity (Operational Technology).
Also relevant for IT managers who wants a better understanding of OT requirements.
Course content
This course introduces the most important areas of OT cybersecurity with a focus on operational security and NIS2 requirements.
The course will blend theoretical insights and workshop discussions, including the following main subjects:
- IT vs. OT – understand the difference and how they are connected
- Where do attacks come from? Distribution and number
- Governance & roles – responsibility and compliance (NIS2, IEC 62443)
- Asset inventory & risk analysis – the foundation for security
- Network and access security – segmentation and control
- Patch and vulnerability management in OT
- Incident response & preparedness
- Backup & recovery of critical systems
Objectives
Upon completion of this course the participants will have obtained:
- Better understanding of IT and OT areas of interest within cybersecurity
- Identify the most important security areas in OT.
- Understand risks and ask the right questions in their own organization.
- See the value of practical tools for monitoring and insight into OT environments.
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is required, but a basic understanding of Cybersecurity is an advantage.

This course runs with min. 4 max. 10 participants.
