Separator upgrade

Hardware and software upgrade of existing separators. 

Application

Older separators are often controlled by outdated and obsolete control systems. Au2mate has developed a “kit” tailored for separator control system upgrades. The existing control system will be replaced in a 1:1 operation, with a new Siemens system, keeping installation, cabling and interface to up- and downstream systems intact. A new backplane and a new HMI operator station are delivered for replacement in the existing control

  • Upgrade of older separators with obsolete control systems

  • New PLC control system software

  • New HMI panel for operation and parameterisation

  • Integration to existing up- and downstream equipment

  • Optional upgrade with Variable Speed Drive (VSD)

Scope includes

  • New backplane for the existing panel

  • Siemens S7-1512 PLC with Ethernet communication

  • Siemens TP700 comfort panel for local control

  • 24 Volt DC supply

  • Siemens ET200SP I/O

  • Control of existing solenoids

  • 20 % available physical room for extension

  • Design standard EN 60204-1

  • VSD for main motor (option)

  • RPM measurement/control (option)
